Li Chunfeng (602-670), courtesy name Daoyuan, was a renowned Taoist and astronomer during the early Tang Dynasty. Born in Fengxiang, Shaanxi, he was an important advisor and close friend to Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin. Li was known for his profound knowledge, particularly in astronomy, calendar systems, and divination. He was acclaimed as the "Crown of Astronomy" and the "Master of Fate Theory." His famous work, Tui Bei Tu, is considered one of China's most notable predictive texts.
Li Chunfeng was well-versed in various fields, especially astronomy and the calendar system, and he firmly believed that the movements of the stars followed a fixed pattern. He once said, "The sun, moon, and stars all follow a regular pattern. By studying them carefully, the mysteries of heaven and earth can be fully understood." Combining astronomical wisdom with humanistic care, Li reshaped ancient destiny theories. His work, Yi Si Zhan, holds profound meaning, and his humble demeanor earned him a lasting legacy. He is revered as the foremost master of fate theory.
